We create a social learning platform where students can chat and speak with each other in their target language and AI corrects their mistakes.
Lengi is more like Facebook for languages, you come for a quick practice and end up chatting and scrolling through the feed for 1 hour.
Current Status
We have MSP and already sold 20 subscriptions and have over 500 weekly active users
Problem or Opportunity
We develop the first social language learning app.
Solution (product or service)
People want to learn and practice foreign languages in an interesting, social, and inexpensive way
They can hire a teacher, but it's expensive and not flexible
They can chat with an AI tutor, but it lacks empathy and social interaction
They can use a language exchange app, but then they have to teach others and it's hard to find native English speakers
That's why we are developing Lengi, it's the first time in history that technology allows us to enable two learners to speak with each other, where each side is perceived as a native speaker by the other. While we have plenty of AI language apps, none combine human interaction and AI.
Competitors
We have many indirect competitors:
Language teachers – they are our competitors in some way, but our app can be used alongside teachers, furthermore we will even encourage it.
Language exchange apps (Tandem, Hellotalk, etc.) – they are probably our closest competition. We will create a significantly better product.
Ai Tutors (Praktika, Talkpal, and many more) – We have many proofs that people prefer speaking with other people than to AI.
Duoling and other language apps – our least direct competition, they use unnatural methods of learning, that usually are boring and ineffective. Use gamification as external motivation.
Advantages or differentiators
We have the first social language platform with all the benefits social networking gives.
Finance
We have 52$ in MRR
Business model

Money will be spent on
The main focus will be on launching our USP (chatting with other people) in August, marketing it and making improvements, then launching feed feature later this year.
