Idea

Our startup offers a cost-effective solution for the electrification of transport using lighter batteries and additional sources of electricity for them - environmentally friendly on-board generators.
Small-sized on-board generators will make it possible to operate electric vehicles in regions with a poorly developed network of charging stations, eliminating dependence on weather anomalies and “range anxiety”.

Current Status

The goal of our team is to contribute to the fight against global warming by developing and implementing modernized resource-saving power units that use machine learning and ensure the consumption of a minimum amount of biofuel for useful operation.
We conducted computational studies and assessed the efficiency of the power unit using modern CAD and CAE tools, developed its layout and machine learning algorithms to control its operating modes.
The methods we have developed make it possible to determine the design, energy and economic indicators of resource-saving power units necessary to assess their effectiveness as part of the drive of machines for various purposes: mobile and stationary, operating on land, in the air and on water.

Problem or Opportunity

Global warming poses an urgent task for us to transition to an active energy saving policy and improve existing energy sources.
Although the share of renewable energy sources is growing worldwide, the overall share of pollution from the energy sector continues to rise.
Energy consumption is growing faster than energy decarbonization, so it is critical to use not only centralized, capital-intensive transport electrification megaprojects, but also decentralized ones.
We will be forced to move away from careless energy consumption, which ignores energy production and is costly, to the realization that, as in the natural world, energy must be produced decentralized and used sparingly.

Solution (product or service)

Our startup offers a cost-effective solution for the electrification of transport using lighter batteries and additional sources of electricity for them - environmentally friendly on-board generators.
The sources of mechanical energy for them will be improved small-volume piston engines using biofuel and machine learning.
The use of on-board generators will reduce the disadvantages of electric vehicles with energy-intensive batteries - heavy weight, low mileage, high cost, the need for long-term charging and susceptibility to natural anomalies.
Decentralization of power supply to transport will also reduce the costs of creating charging infrastructure, electricity transmission and storage systems, generating capacities, production and disposal of energy-intensive batteries and critical materials for them.
Small-sized on-board generators will make it possible to operate electric vehicles in regions with a poorly developed network of charging stations, eliminating dependence on weather anomalies and “range anxiety”.
They will charge electric vehicle batteries outside cities, as well as batteries on ships at sea and aircraft in the air, and will reduce their cost and weight by using lighter batteries.

Competitors

Our competitors are manufacturers of energy-intensive batteries, as well as companies capable of developing new energy sources and energy-saving solutions in the foreseeable future.

Advantages or differentiators

Our solution is based on 3 components:
- increasing the energy efficiency of piston engines, which will give them the opportunity to maintain their position in the market and join the global energy trend;
- expanding the use of biofuels, which will significantly reduce harmful emissions;
- the use of machine learning for electric vehicle power units, which will optimize logistics and further save energy.

Money will be spent on

The money will be used to create a prototype on-board generator for an electric vehicle with an updated engine from a reputable manufacturer that will use biofuels and machine learning.
Creating a prototype and demonstrating its high energy and environmental performance to manufacturers of engines and generators, as well as the environmental community and business, is the shortest and most cost-effective way to introduce resource-efficient power units.
